Day 2: Paro sightseeing
Hike to the Tiger’s nest monastery. Sightseeing in Paro.
Day 3: Paro to Thimphu
Drive from Paro to Thimphu (~ 1 hr). Thimphu sightseeing.
Day 4: Thimphu sightseeing
Full day sightseeing in Thimphu.
Day 5: Thimphu to Punakha
Drive to Punakha (~ 3 hrs) with a stop at the Dochula pass (3100 m). Sightseeing in Punakha.
Day 6: Punakha to Gangtey valley
Drive to Gangtey valley (~ 3 – 4 hrs). Sightseeing and/or hiking.
Day 7: Gangtey to Bumthang
Drive to Bumthang (~ 6 hrs) with sightseeing in Trongsa on the way.
Day 8: Bumthang valley exploration
Full day sightseeing in Chamkhar valley with hikes
Day 9: Bumthang to Mongar
Drive to Mongar (~ 8 hrs) with stops along the way.
Day 10: Day excursion to Lhuentse
Drive to Lhuentse (~3.5 hrs). Visit Takila Guru Statue and Khoma village. Drive back to Mongar.
Day 11: Mongar to Trashigang
Drive to Trashigang (~4 hrs). Rest in the afternoon.
Day 12: Start the Merak Sakteng Trek – Chaling to Damnongchu (3316 m)
Distance 4 km; ~ 3 hrs trek. Overnight: camp
Day 13: Damnongchu to Merak (3499 m)
~5 hrs trek. Overnight: camp
Day 14: Merak to Miksa Teng (3079 m)
Distance 16 km; ~5 hrs trek. Overnight: camp
Day 15: Miksa Teng to Sakteng ( 2950 m)
Distance 11 km; ~4-5 hrs trek. Overnight: camp
Day 16: Sakteng halt
Explore this beautiful and unique village. Overnight: camp
Day 17: Sakteng to Jyonkhar Teng
Distance 17 km; ~6.5 hrs trek. Overnight: camp
Day 18: Jyonkhar Teng to Phongmay
Distance 12 km; ~5 hrs trek. Your car will pick you up from Phongmay. Overnight at hotel.
Day 19: Trashigang to Samdrupjongkhar
Drive from Trashigang to Samdrupjongkhar (~ 6 hrs). Stop along the way to do some sightseeing.
Day 20: Departure
Drive to Guwahati airport in India (~ 3-4 hrs) where our representatives will bid you goodbye!
